It happens often that we look at some photographer's portfolio, we really like his work, we order a shoot, and, unexpectedly, 2-3 hours spent in his company seem like an infinity, and a painful infinity! We can’t relax, we feel out of place, we tend to ‘close’ ourselves and, as a result, we don’t like ourselves later in the photographs.
What to do? First, read the reviews, but it's better to ask somebody who already had a photoshoot with this photographer. Secondly, it would be ideal to meet the photographer and get to know each other personally - you will immediately feel whether you are comfortable next to this person. We are all people with different views and tastes, each has its own psychotype, its own aura - if communication is not set already at the first meeting, then most likely the result of joint work will not please you either. Indeed, to be honest, in any field we are looking for a specialist not only based on his professional skills, but also assessing the possibility of normal human communication and mutual understanding.
